Since 1998, our Pathways Fund has been making a real difference – one that extends beyond the trails and into people’s everyday lives.

By providing funding for the repair and maintenance of footpaths, stiles, and conservation projects, it helps maintain coast and countryside landscapes for the benefit of everyone. The fund also offers assisted holidays to individuals or families facing financial difficulties, enabling them to discover the joys of the great outdoors.

Whether it’s offering assisted holidays or protecting and preserving popular footpaths, the initiatives our Pathways Fund helps support is a huge step towards making the countryside accessible to all.

As Britain’s leading walking holiday co-operative, we’re dedicated to building an inclusive outdoor community where everyone feels welcome.

We’re proud to annually host The Summit at our country houses. It’s an event that encourages diverse communities to connect with nature and exchange ideas in the great outdoors. We look forward to welcoming attendees again next year and hope this ongoing partnership will help us open doors to the great outdoors.

We’re proud to partner with Traveleyes, the unique tour operator that champions inclusivity and challenges preconceptions by designing multi-sensory group holidays for vision impaired and fully sighted travellers to enjoy together. Sighted travellers are partnered with a different vision impaired traveller each day, and in return for guiding and describing the sights, they get to travel for a reduction in price. We’re excited to offer 30 brand-new trips for 2025, including Cyprus, Istanbul, Costa Rica and Eswatini.
